Elon Musk: $210 billion [1]

A commonly known name in the entrepreneurial space, Musk is known for companies such as SpaceX and Tesla. His life is in full view, and many of his habits are well known. Musk is known to indulge in whiskey “from time to time” but does not drink consistently.[2]

Jeff Bezos: $144 billion

Known as the founder, executive chairman, and former president and CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos enjoys both wine and whiskey. His Washington DC mansion is said to be equipped with a whiskey cellar and wine room. [3].

Bernard Arnault: $143 billion

Bernard Arnault is Chairman and CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton, the world’s leading luxury products group. An avid art collector and known to be a man of fine taste, he is known to indulge in a glass of Chablis wine when out at a restaurant, but his regular alcohol consumption habits are unknown.

Gautam Adani: $122 billion

Gautam Adani is chairman of the Adani Group. Little is known about his private home life; however it is known he regularly partakes in yoga and other meditative practices. It is assumed that he does not drink alcohol [5].

Bill Gates: $111 billion

Bill Gates, known for being the chairman of Microsoft, is known to choose Diet Coke over liquor. He says his soda consumption adds up to 35 pounds of aluminum a year. In order to wind down for the day, Gates is more likely to help with chores than turn to liquor[6].

Warren Buffett: $101 billion

This chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway never drinks. In fact, he has never smoked or consumed alcohol. He stays away from these vices in order to preserve his health [7].

Larry Page: $95.6 billion

Larry Page has been seen drinking beer when out and about at local bars on rare occasions but is not open about his liquor consumption habits. It is possible that he drank a lot in the early stages of Google, being a co-founder, as that has been the trending report about the company’s early days amongst the pioneering individuals.  [8].

Sergey Brin: $91.5 billion

Another co-founder of Google is similarly not open about his liquor consumption. If anything, his drink of choice is rumored to be a glass of wine, but it is not a habit [9].

Larry Ellison: $89.2 billion

This co-founder and CEO of Oracle does not drink any alcohol. In his words, alcohol “clouds his mind.” He goes on to say that while he does not care that other people drink. He cannot see himself consuming liquor [7].

Steve Ballmer: $89 billion

Steven Anthony Ballmer is an American business magnate and investor who served as the chief executive officer of Microsoft from 2000 to 2014. In a 2018 article, he states that he was cutting alcohol out of his diet. “You never add back in sweets. You don’t really add back alcohol”. [10].

Concluding this list, it seems that not prioritizing alcohol is a step in the right direction and something the people above have in common. Some have cut it out completely, while others indulge rarely or on special occasions.
